Cold recycling technology has been studied to replace traditional processes using hot bitumen. CGS Consolidamenti is the Italian leader in cold recycling processes using normal or modified emulsions.
This technology makes it possible to intervene in situ in the intermediate and deep layers of the casing by reinforcing the damaged areas, replacing the cement mixture and the hot base of traditional road planning.
This method of intervention, being "cold", makes it possible to work the materials at lower temperatures compared to traditional hot processes, thus eliminating the production of fumes and reducing CO2 emissions into the atmosphere (1kg of material produced by hot processes is equivalent to 9kg of material produced by cold processes).
